Practice sessions tend to have modern & latin intermingled. Dress is more casual and everyone stops for tea (or coffee!). Plenty of parking for your tractors.

  • Times and dates: Monday 8.30 - 10.30pm (not August)
  • Price: £5 per couple
  • Format: 2 modern, 2 latin including VW x2 once and PD x 2 once -- everything else comes around about twice. There's a break for a short while in the middle: take your own refreshments Plenty of room to practice steps whilst the other discipline is playing, no mir
  • Who goes: Some ex-students but mostly senior
  • Travel & parking: Off the A38 northbound just before the Aztec West roundabout -- 5 mins from the M4
  • Other Info: Large floor, erratic surface, no mirrors. Pub afterwards!

Bristol


Dance Centre

Hotwells Road, Bristol
  • Times and dates: Approximately every two weeks on a Saturday night
  • Price: £4.50 per person
  • Format: No PD, only 2 VW. 2-3 of each dance in a row
  • Who goes: Mostly social dancers
  • Other Info: Eric & Helia: Floor is sprung & big but with stationary objects in corners to practise floorcraft

  • Price: Annual fee £2 each and then each practice is £4 per couple
  • Format: 2 modern, 2 latin
  • Who goes: Some Ex-students, mostly senior. Friendly atmosphere, can get busy sometiems
  • Travel & parking: Just off the A38, near Abbey Wood, junction 1 of M32
  • Other Info: Floor a bit small. PS we've been known to drink (and even eat) after this practice

Portishead


Avon Amateurs

Somerset Hall, Portishead
  • Times and dates: Tuesday 7:30-10:30
